I was elected by the parents and carers of the school in 2014 and have
been Vice Chair for the last 2 years. I have lived in the village for the past
15 years and both my children have been pupils at the school: Jude left
last year and Isla is in Year 5. Both my children also attended Ollie’s Nursery

Rev Steve CooperEx-officio Foundation Governor, appointed by Blackburn Diocesan Board
of Education and member of the Curriculum Committee. I am Team
Rector and I have overall responsibility for the Fellside Team, with
particular responsibility for St Lawrence, Barton, St Eadmer, Bleasdale and
St Mary the Virgin, Goosnargh. As well as being Ex-Officio Foundation
Governor at Goosnargh Oliverson's School, I am also Ex-Officio
Foundation Governor at St Lawrence School, Barton and St Eadmer
School, Bleasdale
Mr Jeff MiddletonI have lived in the village since 1970 and am in my fourth year as a Governor.
I am a retired Building Services Engineer and my granddaughter, Lenny, is in
Year 5. Both of my children attended the school.
Mr David Butters I and my late wife, Stephanie have lived in Goosnargh since 1978 and my two children both attended Oliverson’s where they got an excellent first step in their respective lives and careers. Following being chairman of Frogs I became a governor around 1995; first as Parent Governor, then as Minor Authorities Governor. After that position was abolished I was re-elected on to the board as Associate Governor

Ms Briony ThompsonI have been a Parent Governor since 2018. Both of my children attend the school: Hugo in Reception and Albert in Year 3. I am Link Governor for Arts and Culture and Year 6. I’ve worked in Education for 24 years as a teacher, leader and school improvement adviser
Mrs Lindy KingI was appointed as a Foundation Governor in November 2017. I am a past pupil of the school and qualified as an SRN in 1981. I taught in the village for 10 years. I moved back into Goosnargh a few years after the death of my late husband, when my younger son moved into a Supported Living House in Leyland. I am the SEND Governor and also serve on the Curriculum Committee
Mrs Cat CoulierI was appointed as parent governor in September 2018 which is the same month my eldest daughter, Pippa, started Oliversons in Reception. My professional background is working with children and their parents.
Ms Sian ElcombI have recently been appointed as an Oliverson's Trustee governor. I have lived in the village for 27 years and my three children all attended Goosnargh Oliverson's school. I have recently retired from teaching in a Preston secondary school.
